Urgent Care RN Opportunities inMultiple Locations
We are looking for an experienced Registered Nurse to join our team and provide exceptional customer service. The nurse will play a crucial role in launching our Urgent Care Clinic dedicated to providing triage and treatment to Category 4 & 5 presentations.
As a member of our progressive team, you will be part of a team facilitating the management of Urgent Care within our medical centre. This is an exceptional opportunity to transform lives and make a positive impact on the community. Permanent and Casual roles available for afternoon shifts.
Job tasks and responsibilities:
- Responsible for Triage of all patients who present to Urgent Care by performing comprehensive and accurate nursing assessments.
- Take appropriate action for any triaged patients who require escalation due to an emergency presentation or deterioration of illness or injury.
- Support patients with a multi-disciplinary team approach to better self-manage their conditions.
- Organising case management for patients by liaising with internal and external health care professionals.
- Oversee the day-to-day operations of the urgent care clinic, ensuring smooth functioning and optimal efficiency.
- Able to work afternoon and weekend shifts.
Skills and experience:
- AHPRA registered nurse with 3-year experience in GP nursing.
- Previous experience in triage in an emergency department, preferably 1 year minimum.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills.
- Ability to assess and recognise health deterioration and escalate appropriately.
- Driven, with ability to identify and recruit patients and promote importance of Chronic Disease care.
- Police check & working with children check - Required.
Evidence of immunisation and immunity to:
- Hepatitis B
- Diphtheria, tetanus & pertussis
- Tuberculosis (Screening may be required)
- COVID-19
